Adani Group has commissioned India's first off-grid 5 megawatt green hydrogen pilot plant in Kutch, Gujarat. This plant, built by Adani New Industries Limited (ANIL), operates using electrolysis powered by solar energy, making it completely off-grid. The successful commissioning represents a milestone for India's National Green Hydrogen Mission, showcasing the technical feasibility of renewable-powered hydrogen production. Green hydrogen, produced using renewable sources like solar or wind power, is considered the cleanest form of energy. ANIL is also developing large-scale production facilities for green hydrogen and its derivative products to meet diverse sector demands. The pilot plant features a closed-loop electrolyser system with operational flexibility to respond dynamically to real-time renewable energy inputs.
