US Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy unveiled a groundbreaking collaboration between the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and aviation authorities of Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and the UK known as the NAA Network, aimed at advancing air mobility. The Network's Roadmap for Advanced Air Mobility Aircraft Type Certification was presented at the Paris Air Show, highlighting its revolutionary approach to accommodate eVTOLs, hydrogen-based propulsion systems, and other futuristic air mobility technologies. The Roadmap establishes six key principles, including safety and innovation, harmonized type certification standards, collaboration, leveraging opportunities for multi-authority validation, incremental autonomy, and inclusive bilateral agreements.
