Known as the MercurHy project, this initiative is set to be executed in multiple phases, starting with 150 MW capacity in Phase 1 and expanding to 1,000 MW by the completion of Phase 3. The primary focus in the initial stages will be on supplying domestic hydrogen to support the decarbonization efforts in the mining and heavy transport sectors. Partners involved in the project have already initiated discussions for power supply agreements with an existing wind park and have potential off-take partners lined up.
