Neoenergia has initiated the construction of one of the first green hydrogen power plants in Brazil, located in Taguatinga, Federal District. With an investment exceeding R$ 30 million, this innovative project is set to open in October and aims to serve as a supply point for light and heavy vehicles. Powered by a photovoltaic plant, the unit is strategically positioned near Brasilia, in a region offering visibility and viability for zero CO2 emissions mobility infrastructure. The CEO of Neoenergia, Eduardo Capelastegui, highlights the company's commitment to driving electrification through investments in advanced technologies, leveraging Brazil's abundance of affordable renewable energy. The plant will also function as a hub for knowledge and innovation, advancing green hydrogen as an energy vector. Furthermore, as Brazil gears up to host COP 30, the inauguration of this plant reinforces Neoenergia's role in the global climate agenda.
