Nysnø, a climate investment firm based in Norway, has announced its investment in Hystar AS, a leading Norwegian high-tech hydrogen company located in Stavanger. This investment will empower Hystar to implement its growth strategy focused on deploying its energy-efficient green hydrogen technology on a large scale. Hystar's electrolysis technology, built on patented PEM systems, emphasizes high energy efficiency and safety measures. By enabling cost-effective mass production of electrolysers, the company aims to drive down the levelized cost of green hydrogen, challenging the dominance of grey hydrogen in the market. The significant capital injection will support Hystar in setting up a fully automated gigawatt-scale production line at their upcoming facility in Høvik, with an impressive annual capacity of 1.5 GW by 2027. This move aligns with Hystar's vision to become a key player in the global green hydrogen market.
