Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami participated in the All India Oil Sector Meet program in Dehradun, emphasizing the promotion of green energy under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership. Dhami highlighted the Chief Minister solar self-employment scheme and the significant role of hydroelectric projects like Tehri, Koteshwar, Pipalkoti, Lakhwar, and Vishnugad in establishing Uttarakhand as an energy hub. He also mentioned the state's focus on geothermal energy possibilities. Dhami praised ONGC for contributing 70% of the total crude oil production and 84% of natural gas production in India, enhancing the nation's energy security. The Chief Minister commended PM Modi's vision of a self-reliant and developed India by 2047 and emphasized the country's progress in the energy sector, including the establishment of petroleum reserves and the promotion of solar energy and green hydrogen. He mentioned the expansion of gas pipelines under One Nation, One Grid, the convenience brought by the gas distribution system, and the setup of bio CNG plants. Dhami also highlighted the positive impact of schemes like Ujjwala and various policies implemented to boost oil production. He acknowledged ONGC's beneficial works in Uttarakhand, contributing to the state's development.
