Adani Enterprises Ltd has launched India's first hydrogen fuel cell truck in Raipur, aiming to revolutionize transportation by promoting cleaner and more sustainable practices. These trucks, intended to replace diesel vehicles in the company's logistics operations, are the result of collaboration with Indian and international energy technology firms and a major auto manufacturer. Each truck is equipped with smart technology and three hydrogen tanks, capable of carrying 40 tonnes of cargo over a 200-kilometer range. The first truck was flagged off by Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, marking a milestone in the state's commitment to sustainability. The initiative not only showcases Chhattisgarh's dedication to reducing carbon footprint but also sets a new standard for the industry. Adani Group's focus on decarbonization and responsible mining practices is evident through this project, which aims to pioneer sustainable technologies in the mining sector. With the involvement of Adani Natural Resources and Adani New Industries Limited, the project encompasses various green initiatives, including hydrogen cells, wind turbines, solar modules, and battery manufacturing. This effort aligns with the company's vision of ensuring affordable and reliable electricity for all while advancing sustainable mining practices.
