BASF, a renowned global leader in chemical innovation, has forged a strategic partnership with Plug Power, a frontrunner in green hydrogen solutions, to revolutionize hydrogen liquefaction processes. The Cooperation Agreement entails the integration of BASF's cutting-edge Purivate Pd15 DeOxo catalysts into Plug Power's hydrogen liquefaction plants worldwide. This collaboration aims to optimize the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of hydrogen production, particularly focusing on plants with capacities ranging from 30 to 90 tons per day. BASF's advanced DeOxo catalysts, notably the Purivate Pd15, are designed to excel in low-temperature environments crucial for hydrogen liquefaction, reducing the need for expensive precious metals and enhancing economic viability. Additionally, Plug Power will utilize BASF's Sorbead Air for efficient water removal in electrolyzed hydrogen dehydration, further improving the reliability of their liquefaction plants.
