Key Ideas
  • Clean Power Hydrogen plc (CPH2) signs MoU with Constant Energy for the production of green hydrogen in County Mayo, Ireland.
  • The partnership aims to utilize CPH2's Membrane-Free Electrolyser (MFE) technology for hydrogen production and integration into energy systems.
  • Constant Energy plans to purchase initial MFE units and expand capacity to up to 200 MW in the next decade for hydrogen production.
  • The collaboration signifies a significant step towards the commercialization of green hydrogen and renewable energy integration.
Clean Power Hydrogen plc (CPH2) has taken a significant step forward in the commercialization of its green hydrogen technology by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Constant Energy Ltd, an Irish-based energy developer. This partnership is focused on the development of the Killala Energy Hub in County Mayo, Ireland, where green hydrogen will be produced using CPH2's innovative Membrane-Free Electrolyser (MFE) technology. The hydrogen generated at the site will be utilized in various applications including a gas peaking plant, export to the gas grid, and a hydrogen filling station for fuel cell electric vehicles. Constant Energy, having secured planning permission for the Energy Hub, plans to purchase five 1MW MFE220 units initially, with discussions ongoing to expand the capacity to 200 MW over the next decade. This commitment highlights the growing interest in green hydrogen and the integration of renewable energy sources for sustainable energy production. The collaborative efforts of CPH2 and Constant Energy are expected to drive advancements in the green hydrogen market and contribute to a more sustainable energy future.
