Hynamics UK, a subsidiary of EDF Group, and Hy24 have entered an exclusive partnership to develop the Fawley Green Hydrogen Project in Fawley, Hampshire, UK. The EUR 300 million project, shortlisted under the UK’s Hydrogen Allocation Round 2 subsidy scheme, aims to establish a significant electrolytic production facility to provide green hydrogen to the ExxonMobil petrochemical complex for decarbonization. This initiative is set to reduce up to 100,000 tons/year of CO2 emissions by replacing heavy fuel oil and grey hydrogen with low-carbon alternatives. Both companies are focused on accelerating the deployment of low-carbon hydrogen in the UK's industrial sectors, in line with government objectives for clean energy development.
