HyTrEc2 Project: Advancing Hydrogen Initiatives for Transportation in the North Sea Region
Key Ideas
  • The HyTrEc2 project involves eight organisations focusing on hydrogen to advance strategies for the use of Hydrogen Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles (FCEVs) in the North Sea Region.
  • Partners from the UK, Germany, The Netherlands, Sweden, and Norway are collaborating on initiatives for integrating hydrogen in the transport and energy sectors.
  • This transnational project is part of the Interreg VB North Sea Region Programme 2014-2020 and receives co-funding from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
  • The project aims to facilitate the adoption of hydrogen technologies, particularly in transportation, to promote sustainable energy solutions in the NSR.
The HyTrEc2 project is focused on advancing the use of hydrogen in transportation within the North Sea Region (NSR). It is a collaborative effort involving eight organizations from the UK, Germany, The Netherlands, Sweden, and Norway. The primary goal of the project is to develop strategies and initiatives that support the integration of Hydrogen Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles (FCEVs) in the NSR. By bringing together expertise and experience in hydrogen technologies, the project aims to drive the adoption of hydrogen in both the transport and energy sectors. HyTrEc2 operates as a transnational project under the Interreg VB North Sea Region Programme 2014-2020 and receives co-funding from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). Through this initiative, the partners seek to contribute to the promotion of sustainable energy solutions in the region, with a particular focus on hydrogen as a clean and efficient fuel source. By fostering collaborations and sharing knowledge, HyTrEc2 aims to pave the way for increased usage of hydrogen technologies, especially in the transportation industry.
