Arctech, a global solar technology provider, has partnered with India-based ACME Cleantech Solutions to supply 175 MWp of single-axis solar trackers for a groundbreaking green hydrogen production project in Duqm, Oman. The project aims to be one of the first large-scale green hydrogen facilities in the Middle East, utilizing solar PV to generate clean electricity for green ammonia production. Arctech's Skyline II tracking system, engineered for extreme desert conditions, will be deployed to meet the site's challenging environmental factors like high wind speeds, sandy soils, corrosion risks, and high solar radiation. This initiative aligns with Oman's renewable energy strategy targeting a significant share of electricity generation from renewables by 2040. The partnership between Arctech and ACME further solidifies Duqm's position as a regional clean energy hub, emphasizing Oman's commitment to the global green hydrogen economy. The collaboration is expected to enhance energy efficiency and reliability in the demanding site conditions while advancing Oman's clean energy vision and contributing to regional decarbonization efforts and energy export strategies.
