Colombia, heavily reliant on coal and fossil fuels for export revenues, is embarking on an ambitious journey towards energy transition under President Gustavo Petro's leadership. The plan to end domestic fossil fuel production poses challenges in revenue replacement and financing for green energy infrastructure. Former Minister of Mines and Energy, Andrés Camacho, highlights the complexities and achievements of this transition.
