Karmsund Hydrogen, a collaboration between Norwegian Hydrogen, Sigma, and Karmsund Group, is teaming up with HydePoint to establish a green hydrogen facility in Karmsund, Norway. Set to be operational by 2028 at Karmsund Group's service base, the facility will have 20 MW installed electrolysis capacity to produce more than 3,000 tonnes of green hydrogen annually. The project's focus on serving maritime and onshore sectors aims to facilitate the decarbonisation of key industrial activities, supporting the region's sustainable growth. This initiative reflects the region's strong commitment to reducing emissions and creating new green value chains. HydePoint brings its expertise in maritime hydrogen production, offering a barge system integrated with onshore infrastructure for modular and scalable hydrogen deployment.
