These projects aim to map out the skills needed, involve employers in transitioning their workforce, and provide a clear picture of the future workforce size. The UK's East of England region, with its abundant green energy resources, is identified as a prime location for hydrogen production, but the workforce must be developed to realize this potential. The upcoming Clean Hydrogen Conference in Ipswich will further facilitate discussions on hydrogen's role in decarbonization and workforce development.
