Hyundai has introduced HTWO Energy Savannah, a groundbreaking initiative at the 2025 Advanced Clean Transportation Expo, to launch a scalable hydrogen production and dispensing facility for heavy-duty zero-emission vehicles near the Port of Savannah, Georgia. This development, in collaboration with HTWO Logistics, HydroFleet, and Capital Development Partners, aims to revolutionize the heavy-duty trucking industry by providing a convenient location for zero-emissions trucks to refuel. HTWO Energy Savannah will support fast-fill zero-emissions heavy-duty trucking operations initially producing 1,200 kilograms of hydrogen per day, with plans to scale infrastructure to meet future demand of up to 4,200 kilograms daily. The project has garnered praise from industry leaders, such as Scott Moe from HydroFleet, who highlighted the initiative's role in addressing the critical need for sustainable logistics infrastructure. Des Carlisle from the Southeast Hydrogen Energy Alliance commended the project as a blueprint for accelerating zero-emission logistics and advancing regional energy resilience. This initiative is seen as a significant step forward in the decarbonization of emissions-intensive port operations and major logistics corridors, positioning the Southeast as a hub for zero-emission transportation.
