NEOM Green Hydrogen Company, a collaboration between Air Products, ACWA Power, and NEOM, is making significant progress in constructing a green hydrogen and ammonia plant in Oxagon, Saudi Arabia, with completion at 80% and a massive $8.4 billion budget. The plant, with a capacity of 2.2GW, aims to produce 600 tonnes of carbon-free hydrogen daily by 2027 using wind and solar energy via electrolysis, in line with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030. The project encompasses various completed parts like storage tanks, electrolysers, and a dedicated transmission grid, with upcoming additions of wind and solar power capacity to be finalized by mid-2026.
