Nova Scotia's Energy Minister Trevor Boudreau announced the province's commitment to developing and utilizing low-carbon and renewable fuels to power industries and businesses. The second round of funding from the Clean Fuels Fund will provide a financial boost to innovators in the green energy sector. Seven projects, totaling $3 million, will receive funding, with a focus on clean fuels innovation. Innergex is set to receive $793,000 to establish a hydrogen production hub in the Halifax Regional Municipality, contributing to regional green hydrogen production and emissions reductions. Waterford Energy Services Inc. and the Municipality of the County of Richmond are also beneficiaries of the funding, receiving support for projects related to green hydrogen production and clean fuels strategy development.
