Hazer Group Ltd, listed on ASX as HZR, has announced a strategic partnership with Kellogg Brown and Root LLC (KBR) for the global commercial deployment and licensing of Hazer's methane pyrolysis technology. This partnership positions Hazer as KBR's exclusive partner for marketing and licensing in the ammonia and methanol markets, with a clear aim to target multiple license deals within six years. The collaboration aims to strengthen Hazer's presence in high-growth segments like ammonia and methanol, particularly in regions such as North America and the Middle East. KBR, a global leader in engineering and technology licensing, brings its extensive experience in delivering sustainable technology solutions to the alliance. The Alliance agreement also focuses on pursuing licensing opportunities in decarbonizing hydrogen markets, beyond the initial target markets of ammonia and methanol. Both companies expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, highlighting the potential to provide low-carbon hydrogen solutions for industries seeking to reduce their carbon footprint. KBR's President of Sustainable Technology Solutions, Jay Ibrahim, noted the alignment between KBR's expertise in deploying sustainable technologies and Hazer's innovative methane pyrolysis technology. CEO and Managing Director of Hazer, Glenn Corrie, emphasized the significance of the partnership in advancing Hazer's clean hydrogen technology on a global scale. The collaboration aims to accelerate the deployment of Hazer's technology at an industrial level, focusing on the immediate potential in industries with high CO2 emissions. Under the Alliance, Hazer and KBR will work together on up-scaling, marketing, and licensing Hazer's technology, with KBR contributing A$3.0 million to the work program. The agreement outlines clear performance metrics, with a focus on securing multiple licensing opportunities. Hazer retains ownership of its intellectual property, and the agreement can be terminated if performance metrics are not met.
