SunHydrogen, Inc., a developer of technology to produce renewable hydrogen using sunlight and water, has reached a significant milestone in its solar-to-hydrogen production technology. The company is set to partner with The University of Texas at Austin to install a large-scale hydrogen production system at UT-CEM's Hydrogen ProtoHub. The system will feature sixteen photoelectrochemical hydrogen reactors covering more than 30m² of active area, marking the company's first multi-panel hydrogen production system operating under real-world conditions. This collaboration includes a strategic contract with The Process Group for the pilot plant's engineering design. SunHydrogen CEO Tim Young emphasizes the importance of this collaboration in validating the technology and gathering essential data for commercialization.
