Uttaranchal University in Dehradun, India, hosted a comprehensive two-day Training Programme on Green Hydrogen as part of the INSolar Project. The initiative, supported by GIZ and the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), aimed to educate participants on green hydrogen technologies to support India's clean and sustainable energy objectives. The event saw the participation of lab technicians, startup founders, NGOs, and professionals to enhance their understanding of green hydrogen through expert-led sessions and interactive discussions.
The Vice Chancellor of Uttaranchal University, Prof (Dr) Dharam Buddhi, emphasized the importance of green hydrogen in India's energy transition and highlighted the necessity for technical training to meet future demands. The programme included sessions on green hydrogen fundamentals, production technologies, real-world applications, project design, financial feasibility, and integration with solar and other renewables.
Dr Sanjay Danao from Danao Green Tech Pvt Ltd and Japen Gor from GORenewable Technology provided in-depth training on green hydrogen. Siddharth Swami, the Program Coordinator at the Centre of Excellence for Energy and Eco Sustainability, coordinated the event, reiterating the university's dedication to green innovation and sustainability. The presence of dignitaries like Prof Rajesh Singh, Brij Mohan Sharma, and Vishal Sawan added to the success of the programme. The training concluded with a certificate distribution ceremony, acknowledging the commitment to advancing green hydrogen technologies in India.
