Hydrogen will take the spotlight at the TotalEnergies 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps during the upcoming round of the FIA World Endurance Championship. Since 2018, the ACO, FIA WEC, and Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps have been actively promoting hydrogen through various events at the Ardennes venue. The activities include the official presentation of the MissionH24 program and the launch of the TotalEnergies mobile hydrogen station, along with demonstrations of hydrogen vehicles like the LMPH2G and H24. These initiatives aim to showcase the exciting potential of hydrogen as an alternative energy source. A hydrogen village will be set up in the public fan zone, featuring a 700-bar TotalEnergies mobile H2 station to refuel hydrogen vehicles for zero-CO2 emission demo runs by the Alpine Alpenglow and TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Yaris H2 Concept. Additionally, MissionH24 will be represented by Technical Director Bassel Aslan to answer questions about the new H24EVO. The event will also include engaging activities to educate racegoers on hydrogen production and its various uses. Furthermore, a hydrogen forum organized with Hydrogen Europe will raise awareness among European educators about hydrogen as a new energy source, with plans to introduce a dedicated hydrogen category in FIA WEC by 2028.
