The University of the Highlands and Islands (UHI) North, West and Hebrides has recently inaugurated a newly refurbished hydrogen lab at its Stornoway campus, making it the first in Scotland to offer industrial-level professional development accreditation in hydrogen equipment. The lab's renovation was made possible by a £40,000 grant from the community wind farm, Point and Sandwick Trust (PST), leading to its official renaming as the Point and Sandwick Trust Hydrogen Lab.
