A joint seminar between Gangwon Province and the Gangwon Research Institute was recently held to foster cooperation in establishing a Mega City Economic Zone in the East Sea. The seminar aimed to share development strategies for the region and promote practical collaboration in various sectors. Noteworthy attendees included representatives from cities and provinces in the East Coast like Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongbuk, signifying a collective effort towards regional integration and strategic planning. The improved connectivity following the opening of the Donghae Line was highlighted as a pivotal factor driving economic growth and cultural exchanges in the area. Additionally, the hydrogen industry in the East Coast region was recognized as a key driver for future national economic development, prompting plans for enhanced cooperation among stakeholders to attract businesses, train skilled personnel, and secure necessary funding.
