A strategic cooperation agreement has been reached between Hubei Hydrogen Power Technology and Xiaogan Shouheng Agricultural Products Co., Ltd. to establish a hydrogen energy cold-chain logistics route in Central China. This initiative aims to improve the efficiency of agricultural products circulation between Xiaogan and Wuhan by leveraging hydrogen fuel cell cold-chain transportation vehicles, thus reducing logistics costs by around 40%. The project is projected to cut annual carbon dioxide emissions by over 25 metric tons, equivalent to planting 263 trees, and accelerate the commercialization of hydrogen energy transportation in Hubei. Additionally, Xiaogan Shouhengcheng's Phase II project, the 500,000 mt Smart Cold-Chain Center, utilizing advanced CO₂ cascade refrigeration technology, will provide a state-of-the-art cold storage facility with a vast warehouse storage capacity, enhancing the region's logistics capabilities. This partnership marks a milestone in promoting green logistics in Central China and sets the stage for a broader implementation of hydrogen-powered cold-chain vehicles in the region, influencing the national agricultural products circulation industry's low-carbon transformation.
