AFC Energy PLC has recently disclosed the signing of a significant Joint Development Agreement with a global industrial partner listed in the S&P 500. The identity of the partner remains undisclosed, but the collaboration is aimed at developing ammonia crackers for hydrogen production utilizing AFC Energy's proprietary technology. This news led to a remarkable 24% increase in AFC's shares in London. The agreement covers a broad spectrum of applications, from small to large scale, with plans for activities like port side hydrogen pipeline filling in Northern Europe. Under the terms of the agreement, AFC Energy will have its development costs covered by the partner, with substantial revenues expected to commence in 2027.
