Cleveland-Cliffs Inc. is set to unveil their latest sustainable investment with a ribbon cutting ceremony at their Coshocton Works facility in Cleveland. The company has completed a $150 million capital investment, introducing a cutting-edge vertical stainless bright anneal line. This new line is designed to produce premium stainless steel tailored for high-end automotive and critical appliance applications. Notably, the innovative annealing process utilizes a 100% hydrogen atmosphere, a significant shift from traditional acid-based methods. Furthermore, the facility is equipped with a hydrogen recovery unit that enables the recycling of hydrogen, promoting a more sustainable production process.
