In California, efforts are being made to leverage zero-emission hydrogen to mitigate carbon emissions and air pollution in the aviation industry while ensuring energy resilience. The Center for Law, Energy & the Environment, in collaboration with the San Francisco International Airport and the Rocky Mountain Institute, co-chaired an aviation working group. This public-private partnership is focused on advancing hydrogen projects on a large scale to benefit the environment and the aviation sector. The working group has released a white paper that provides a roadmap for the integration of hydrogen in California's aviation industry.
