Brenmiller Energy Ltd. has secured over €25 million in funding from the European Hydrogen Bank for the SolWinHy Cádiz S.L. project in Arcos de la Frontera, Spain. The project will utilize Brenmiller's bGen™ thermal energy storage system to store and provide clean heat for green e-methanol production. With plans to deliver significant amounts of green hydrogen and e-methanol annually using only renewable energy sources, this project showcases the potential of hydrogen and e-fuels to decarbonize industrial, power generation, and transportation sectors in the European Union. The funding demonstrates the value and importance of Brenmiller's TES technology in Europe's clean energy ecosystem. Partnerships with Green Enesys and Viridi have been instrumental in advancing this project and aligning with the EU's clean energy goals. The SolWinHy Project's design includes various renewable energy sources such as off-grid solar and wind, ensuring 100% renewable energy and sustainable water sourcing.
