Indian Oil Corporation (IOCL) has made a significant stride in the clean energy sector by finalizing the levelized cost of hydrogen (LCoH) for its upcoming green hydrogen project at the Panipat Refinery & Petrochemical Complex. This 10,000-tonne per annum green hydrogen unit is a crucial advancement in India's transition to clean energy and serves as IndianOil's entry into the green hydrogen domain. By aiming to commission the project by December 2027, Indian Oil Corporation plans to utilize green hydrogen to replace fossil-based hydrogen in its refinery operations, which is expected to lead to a notable decrease in carbon emissions, aligning with India's climate objectives.
