Powerhouse Energy Group PLC has announced the signing of a Letter of Intent (LoI) with B.S. Holdings Limited (BSH) to become the exclusive supplier of high-purity hydrogen for BSH's planned Fuel Cell (Penta) H2P project in Ballymena, Northern Ireland. This collaboration is vital for Powerhouse as it showcases its technology that converts non-recyclable waste into eco-friendly energy sources. The terms of the agreement are still being finalized, involving key participants like DESNZ, Ecotricity, SONI, and NIE Networks. CEO Paul Emmitt expressed excitement about this pioneering agreement, emphasizing the importance of securing appropriate offtake agreements to boost hydrogen utilization. The LoI outlines Powerhouse's commitment to providing hydrogen at a competitive price, lower than existing options, thanks to the unique nature of the DESNZ-supported project. Additionally, Powerhouse will extend its support to other CHP projects in collaboration with BSH in the Mid and East Antrim Council area. BSH's CEO, Brian Hood, highlighted the significance of this agreement in ensuring the success of innovative projects by addressing the crucial aspect of fuel supply at reasonable costs.
