Statkraft has secured government funding of more than £270,000 for its green hydrogen project at Scatsta in Scotland. The planned facility will focus on electrolytic hydrogen to green ammonia production with a capacity of up to 350MW. The company is in the process of finalizing a lease agreement with the Shetland Islands Council for the land adjacent to the former Scatsta Airport. This project is part of a larger initiative by the Scottish Government to support 11 hydrogen projects with a total funding of £3.4 million.
