The institute provides professional development in hydrogen, offering Scotland's sole SQA recognized qualification dedicated to the topic. Furthermore, UHI leads the Creed Hydrogen Skills and Innovation Centre in Stornoway, aiming to transform the Outer Hebrides into a prominent green hydrogen production hub. Dr. Alasdair Macleod and Roddy Ferguson from UHI recently visited the HyLab in Germany, exploring collaboration opportunities in hydrogen technologies. The visit, part of international outreach by the Islands Centre for Net Zero, has paved the way for potential joint projects and knowledge exchange.
