ERM, a leading sustainability consultancy, has played a pivotal role in obtaining planning consent for the Aldbrough Hydrogen Pathfinder in the United Kingdom, marking a significant milestone in the country's transition to clean energy. The project, situated on the East Yorkshire coast, will utilize renewable electricity to produce hydrogen using electrolysis, subsequently storing the hydrogen on-site for further use in a hydrogen-fired open cycle gas turbine. This approach will enable the delivery of flexible green power to the grid during high-demand periods.
