EDF Renewables and the EDF Group International Division have come together to establish EDF Power Solutions, a new entity dedicated to advancing low-carbon energy solutions on a global scale. With a portfolio boasting 31 GW of installed capacity worldwide, the entity aims to optimize efficiency and clarity in its operations. By merging technical expertise with geographic, commercial, and technological synergies, EDF Power Solutions plans to develop integrated solutions supporting local electricity system efficiency and decarbonisation. Operating in more than 25 countries and employing 10,000 individuals, EDF Power Solutions specializes in low-carbon generation technologies such as wind, solar, hydropower, and biomass. Additionally, the entity provides system flexibility solutions like battery storage, pumped-storage hydropower, and low-carbon thermal solutions. Notably, EDF Power Solutions offers services to reduce emissions through initiatives including solar, storage, mini-grids, electric mobility, and hydrogen. In the Middle East, the launch of EDF Power Solutions is significant, as it combines a regional portfolio of 12 GWac of installed capacity, aiming to offset over 13 million tonnes of CO₂ emissions annually. The company is focused on bolstering the region's energy transition by delivering tailored, low-carbon solutions across the entire energy value chain.
