Adani New Industries Limited (ANIL) has successfully commissioned India's pioneering off-grid 5 MW Green Hydrogen Pilot Plant in Kutch, Gujarat. This state-of-the-art facility operates solely on solar energy and is equipped with a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), allowing independent off-grid functionality. The plant stands out for its fully automated closed-loop electrolyzer system, which adapts in real-time to renewable energy inputs, ensuring operational flexibility and performance reliability. This development highlights the Adani Group's dedication to innovation and sustainability in advancing the green hydrogen economy. The pilot project not only supports India's aspiration to lead in green hydrogen production but also sets a standard for renewable-powered industrial applications in challenging sectors. It serves as a precursor to ANIL's forthcoming Green Hydrogen Hub in Mundra, Gujarat, a pivotal initiative shaping India's path towards a low-carbon future. Green hydrogen is anticipated to play a crucial role in decarbonising significant industries like fertilisers, refining, and heavy transport, contributing to global net-zero objectives. With alignment to the National Green Hydrogen Mission, this project contributes to reducing import dependence, fostering energy self-sufficiency, and accelerating the decarbonisation of energy-intensive sectors, reflecting India's vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat.
