The Uruguayan Association of Renewable Energies (AUDER) is organizing the LATAM Renewables Congress 2025 in Montevideo on July 29 and 30 at the LATU Auditorium. With the theme 'EnergIA Inteligente,' the event aims to gather stakeholders to discuss the current scenario and future prospects of clean energy in Latin America. The congress will feature prominent figures like the Minister of Industry, Energy, and Mining, Fernanda Cardona, and the Minister of Environment, Edgardo Ortuño, along with other industry leaders including presidents of public utilities and former ministers. Discussions will cover various topics such as electric mobility, green hydrogen, distributed generation, energy storage, and the application of new technologies in the energy sector. Additionally, the congress will coincide with the 5th Congress of the World Energy Council – Uruguay Chapter, expanding the discussions to a global level. President of AUDER, Diego Oroño, highlighted the importance of the event in bringing together diverse stakeholders for dialogue and mutual development. The focus on the relationship between artificial intelligence and energy reflects a forward-looking approach to addressing energy challenges and embracing technological advancements for a sustainable future.
