ANDRITZ has inaugurated a new Gigafactory in Erfurt, Germany, with an initial annual production capacity of one gigawatt to cater to the growing green-hydrogen market in Europe. The facility aims to produce approximately 160 to 200 electrolyzers per year, with the ability to scale up production as needed. The decision to establish the Gigafactory in Erfurt was praised by Thuringia Prime Minister Mario Voigt for its contribution to value creation and future security in the region.
