Electric Hydrogen, a manufacturer of high-power electrolyzer plants in the United States, has been chosen by Infinium to deploy its 100MW HYPRPlant at the large-scale eFuels facility in Pecos, Texas, known as Project Roadrunner. The selection of Electric Hydrogen's technology is driven by its ability to significantly reduce hydrogen project costs and enhance American energy technology leadership. Infinium's CEO, Robert Schuetzle, expressed satisfaction with the design and commercial package of the HYPRPlant, emphasizing the importance of low-cost renewable hydrogen in eFuel production. Once operational, Project Roadrunner is set to become the largest eFuels production facility globally, producing sustainable aviation fuel, eDiesel, and eNaphtha. This initiative will not only support various sectors such as aviation and heavy-duty trucking but also bring economic growth and skilled job opportunities to West Texas, leveraging expertise from the oil and gas industry. The financing partners for this project, Brookfield Asset Management and Breakthrough Energy Catalyst, will enable the supply of sustainable aviation fuel to International Airlines Group for a decade. Additionally, Electric Hydrogen's collaboration with Infinium signifies a significant advancement in clean hydrogen production, promoting American-made fuels and domestic manufacturing.
