HDF Energy, a global leader in green hydrogen infrastructure and fuel cell technology, has entered into a collaboration with Vietnam Maritime Corporation (VIMC) to advance the deployment of green hydrogen and fuel cell technologies in Vietnam's maritime sector. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed during the state visit of Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh to France. This partnership aims to address the maritime industry's significant greenhouse gas emissions by introducing locally produced green hydrogen and HDF's fuel cell solutions. The collaboration includes deploying hydrogen-powered ship operations, utilizing green hydrogen from HDF Energy's Renewstable® power plants, and seeking international funding for sustainable maritime solutions. With a focus on achieving net-zero emissions by 2050, Vietnam sees hydrogen as a vital element in its decarbonization strategy. HDF Energy's expertise in hydrogen technology combined with VIMC's operational capabilities paves the way for a zero-emission maritime model, not only in Vietnam but across the region. This partnership signifies a step towards a more sustainable and environmentally friendly maritime sector in Vietnam, contributing to global efforts for a greener future.
