Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) has joined forces with IIT Madras to establish the Hyundai HTWO Innovation Centre in Chennai, dedicated to green hydrogen technology. Spanning 65,000 sq. ft., this center will serve as a hub for research, development, and deployment of hydrogen technologies. Backed by a significant commitment of INR 100 crore and the support of the Tamil Nadu government, the centre aims to promote collaboration between various stakeholders, including academia, industry, and policymakers. The Hyundai HTWO Innovation Centre will feature cutting-edge facilities such as computational and experimental laboratories, electrolyser and fuel cell testing setups, and industrial-scale pilot demonstrators. By fostering partnerships with global experts, the centre seeks to accelerate the adoption of cost-effective and scalable hydrogen solutions. This initiative signifies a positive stride towards sustainable technology development and underscores the importance of innovation in driving towards a more environmentally friendly future.
