Rehlko and Toyota Motor North America have announced a significant supplier agreement at the Advanced Clean Transportation Expo. Toyota will supply its hydrogen-powered fuel cell modules to Rehlko, a global leader in energy resilience, for use in stationary power generator products. This collaboration combines Toyota's proven fuel cell technology with Rehlko's track record in delivering innovative energy solutions for mission-critical infrastructure, facilities, and residences. The agreement aims to address the growing interest in alternative fuels, such as hydrogen, for stationary applications that require zero emissions. Rehlko plans to integrate Toyota's fuel cell technology into its systems to provide cleaner and more sustainable energy options that can scale based on customer needs. The fuel cell-based generation systems have the capacity to power various facilities, including data centers and off-grid networks, while minimizing local emissions to just water and air. One of the outcomes of this partnership is the development of a 1MW hydrogen fuel cell generator, a significant advancement in energy resilience for critical customers. This system offers the same reliability as conventional generators but with the added benefit of zero local emissions, contributing to sustainability goals. Toyota's extensive experience of over 30 years in hydrogen fuel cell technology, showcased by vehicles like the Toyota Mirai, combined with Rehlko's dedication to energy solutions, has led to the successful implementation of a 100kW hydrogen fuel cell power generation system at Klickitat Valley Health. Building on this success, a commercialized 1MW system has been engineered to meet the increasing demand for scalable hydrogen-powered solutions.
