SFC Energy AG, a leading provider of fuel cell technology, has announced a significant order from Norlys Fibernet A/S in Denmark to supply hydrogen fuel cells for telecom infrastructure. The purpose of these fuel cells is to power critical data nodes and support the sustainable and reliable energy supply for Norlys's fibre optic network. This order is particularly noteworthy as it represents the first major contract for SFC's subsidiary, SFC Energy Denmark, established recently in 2024. The agreement involves the deployment of 235 kW of installation capacity, utilizing EFOY Hydrogen 5.0 Fuel Cells integrated into EFOY H2Rack systems. Delivery of the order is scheduled between August and December 2025. The decision by Norlys Fibernet to opt for hydrogen fuel cells instead of traditional diesel generators stems from the environmental advantages and reduced maintenance requirements offered by fuel cell technology.
