The new furnace, capable of running on 100% hydrogen, refinery off gas (ROG), or a blend of both, is part of EET Fuels' ambitious plan to eliminate 95% of its carbon emissions by 2030. Additionally, the furnace will contribute to improved air quality and energy efficiency at the Stanlow site by reducing NOX emissions and annual CO2 emissions by significant amounts. This development marks a crucial step in EET Fuels' decarbonisation strategy and aligns with the UK's goals of transitioning towards low-carbon energy sources.
