Hyundai Motor recently showcased its latest innovation, the Xcient hydrogen fuel cell electric truck, at the 2025 Advanced Clean Transportation Expo held at the California Convention Center. The new truck boasts improved power thanks to enhancements in the hydrogen fuel cell system and includes cutting-edge driver assistance features like forward collision avoidance assistance and lane departure warning for enhanced safety. Hyundai also unveiled plans for its 'HTWO Energy' platform, which enables simultaneous hydrogen refueling and battery charging. Additionally, the company is set to establish an HTWO Energy station near its Meta Plant America in Georgia, capable of producing 1,200 kg of hydrogen fuel per day, enough for 17 new Xcient trucks. The Vice President of Hyundai Motor's Global Commercial and Hydrogen Energy Business Division expressed optimism about the truck's potential to reshape clean logistics in North America. Hyundai's future plans involve collaborating with local companies to develop a hydrogen fuel system in the region, showcasing the company's commitment to sustainability and innovation in the automotive sector.
