Masdar, a clean energy leader in the UAE, and OMV, an integrated Austrian company, have signed an agreement to partner in producing synthetic sustainable aviation fuel (eSAF) and green hydrogen. The non-binding Letter of Intent was signed in Vienna, expanding the collaboration opportunities in Austria, the UAE, and Central and Northern Europe. Masdar's chief green hydrogen officer emphasized the importance of the partnership in driving energy system transformation and energy security through green hydrogen production. OMV, aiming to be net zero by 2050, sees green hydrogen as a central pillar in achieving this goal.
