ZeroAvia has entered into a partnership with RVL Aviation to operate Cessna Grand Caravan aircraft equipped with ZeroAvia's hydrogen-electric ZA600 powertrain in the British Isles. Once all necessary certifications and retrofitting work are completed, flights within the region will begin. The analysis conducted by RVL and ZeroAvia indicates that the ZA600-enabled Cessna Caravan will not only meet current operational requirements but also significantly reduce the climate impact of operations. This initiative holds the potential to revolutionize air travel sustainability, offering a pathway for approximately 1,000 cargo aircraft worldwide to transition to zero-emission ZA600 powertrains in the future. The agreement initially focuses on the Cessna Caravan 208B, with plans to explore expanding hydrogen-electric technology to other small turboprop operations within RVL's network. Furthermore, the collaboration with zero-emission specialist MONTE for aircraft leasing underscores a strong commitment to environmentally friendly aviation practices. The partners aim to evaluate the success of the initial operations and then consider extending the adoption of hydrogen-electric technology to RVL's other operations as conditions permit.
