In a significant move towards decarbonizing transportation, CHN Energy Guohua Energy Investment Co Ltd shipped high-purity green hydrogen from Hebei province to a Sinopec refueling station in Beijing. This green hydrogen, generated through water electrolysis powered by renewable sources, is crucial for China's emissions reduction goals. The collaboration between CHN Energy and Sinopec bolsters the green hydrogen supply chain in Beijing. This initiative will support around 88 hydrogen fuel cell buses daily, enabling a substantial reduction in carbon emissions. By integrating green hydrogen into the public transportation system, Beijing aims to optimize its energy consumption structure and move towards cleaner alternatives. The successful delivery and utilization of green hydrogen highlight China's commitment to sustainable energy and demonstrate the potential of hydrogen as a viable solution for decarbonization in various sectors.
