Cyprus' Minister of Energy, Commerce, and Industry, George Papanastasiou, announced the approval and submission of the National Hydrogen Strategy to the Council of Ministers. However, challenges such as water scarcity for green hydrogen production and the need for substantial investments in specialized infrastructure pose significant hurdles that require realistic solutions. The Minister stressed the importance of balancing the potential benefits and challenges of hydrogen development, highlighting the need for careful planning and strategic investments to ensure the efficiency and sustainability of hydrogen projects.
