REV Bus&Truck, the commercial vehicles retrofit subsidiary of the REV Mobilities group, has acquired the retrofit operations of GreenMot in Villefranche-sur-Saône, France. GreenMot, which had initiated a project for retrofitting intercity diesel buses to hydrogen fuel cell power in 2021, received its first public order in 2023 to convert 49 Crossway buses into electric school buses. The acquisition by REV Bus&Truck includes approved retrofit kit solutions for the Iveco Crossway Euro 6 and Iveco Crossway Low Entry Euro 5 models. It also involves taking over active contracts and retaining the team of 20 employees previously dedicated to GreenMot's retrofit business. The strategic support from Groupe Maurin, a major distributor of passenger cars and commercial vehicles, ensures a significant investment to enhance industrial processes, expand product range, and establish a reliable supply chain. REV Bus&Truck plans to relocate to a new industrial site in the Lyon region, with Bertrand Berger and Olivier Marchegay overseeing general and operational management. The company aims to recruit ten more employees by 2025 to support the energy transition in local territories by offering decarbonisation solutions for school and interurban transport.
